The short version
This site sets no cookies at all unless you press Accept on the banner. There is no advertising, no social media tracking, no profiling and nothing sold to anyone. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, nothing is stored except your choice, and the site works exactly the same.

Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so you are not asked on every page. It is browser storage rather than a cookie, and it is never sent to us or anyone else.

2 yearsWe use these to see which pages are actually read and how people find us, which is how we decide what to write next. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, we have not enabled ad features, and we do not combine this with anything else.
Changing your mind
Select Cookie choices at the bottom of any page. The banner comes back and whatever you pick replaces your previous answer. Choosing Decline also stops the analytics script loading from that point on.
You can equally clear cookies and site data in your browser, or browse in private mode. Nothing here will break.
What we deliberately do not use
- No advertising or retargeting pixels, from anyone.
- No Meta, LinkedIn or TikTok tracking.
- No session recording, heatmaps or scroll tracking.
- No chat widget loading third-party code on arrival.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests a file from Google and Google sees the request. That is a font file, not a cookie, and it happens regardless of your choice. If you would rather we self-hosted the fonts, tell us and we will.
