What we collect when you use this website, why we hold it, and how to get it removed.
Who we are
WizMedia is a trading name of Dragos Catanitoiu, 33 Campshill Road, London SE13 6QU, United Kingdom. You can reach us at contact@wizmedia.co.uk or +44 7415 935604. For the purposes of UK GDPR we are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
When you contact us
The enquiry form asks for your name and email, and optionally your company, phone number, budget, timeline and a description of what you need. We also record the time of the enquiry and the IP address it came from, which we use to block automated spam.
When you browse
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. That places cookies and shares usage data with Google. If you decline, those cookies are not set and no analytics data is collected. Nothing on this site requires you to accept them.
Our server keeps standard access logs containing IP addresses and requested pages, which exist for security and troubleshooting.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
- To reply to you. Legitimate interest, and where it leads to work, performance of a contract.
- To keep the site secure. Legitimate interest.
- To measure how the site performs. Consent, which you give or withhold in the cookie banner and can change at any time.
We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider stores the site and its logs. Enquiries arrive in our email, hosted by our email provider. Google receives analytics data if you consent to it. That is the full list. We do not pass enquiries to third parties, and we do not use them to train anything.
Where it is kept and for how long
This website is hosted with HostGator. Platforms we build and host for clients run on infrastructure in the European Union, but that is separate from this website.
Enquiries are kept for two years from your last contact with us, so we can pick up a conversation you started. Where an enquiry becomes a project, records are kept for six years after it ends, as UK tax law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period and then overwritten.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Email contact@wizmedia.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all unless you accept analytics. There is no advertising tracking, no social media pixels and no profiling. You can clear or block cookies in your browser without breaking anything here.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
